Abington Township has recently adopted an ordinance regulating Mobile Food Vendors and Mobile Food Vendor Locations. The new process is to ensure the safe, sanitary, and compliant operation of mobile food units across our community.

What's Required?

All mobile food vendors and those looking to host a mobile food vendor must now obtain the appropriate licenses before operating within Abington Township:

Mobile Food Vendor License
Required for the person or business operating a food truck, cart, trailer, or similar unit.
Mobile Food Vendor Location License
Required for the property owner or responsible party of any site where a mobile food vendor will operate.

Food Cart	Mobile food vendor/operator	365 Days	$25
Host Business	Property owner or designee	365 Days	$500 1^st year $250 renewal
Single Event	Property owner or designee	Day(s) of Event	$100 per site

Note: Those hosting mobile food vendors as part of an event requiring a Special Use permit do not need a mobile food vendor location permit, as regulations are handled through the Special Use process. Vendors are still required to comply with all regulations.
